We sincerely thank you for the extensive coverage in The Jakarta Post on the awarding of this year's Nobel Peace Prize to Muhammad Yunus of Bangladesh.

However, we take note of some incorrect information in the article titled Nobel Peace Prize winner calls award 'great news', published in the Sunday edition of the Post on Oct. 15. It was erroneously mentioned in the article that Bangladesh won independence in 1973. The correct information is that Bangladesh won independence in 1971.

While the article was taken from Associated Press, it is still important that your readership in Indonesia get the correct information through your daily.
