JAKARTA: Police have arrested an officer with the Jakarta Traffic Police for taking low-grade heroin with a high school student in Pancoran, South Jakarta.
Jakarta Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Ketut Untung Yoga Ana said the arrest of First Brig. Rachman and the teenage girl, identified only as Kuncung, was made Wednesday afternoon at the police officer's rented house.
Police also confiscated six small packets of the drug.
Pancoran Police station head Comr. Dian Feri said the 17-year-old girl was actually the target of the operation. Police had her name on a list of suspected drug dealers.
""We got a tip-off leading us to the rented house. When we saw the officer there we arrested him as well,"" he said.
Police are currently searching for Kuncung's mother who allegedly provided her with the drugs. -- JP
