JAKARTA: The Jakarta Cricket Association league resumed last weekend after a two-week Idul Fitri break, with Senayan CC, India XI and Indorama CC winning their matches.
Senayan CC beat ISCW by 5 wickets in Cibubur. ISCW was put into bat and set a huge target of 256 for 4, with a century by skipper John Stevenson (133 not out). Senayan CC reached the target in 30.5 overs with the help of an unbeaten 140 run partnership between Kushal Saraf (49 n.o.) and Faisal Hashmi (65 n.o.).
India XI beat GMIS XI by six wickets in Karawaci. GMIS XI elected to bat after winning the toss but could only manage to score 183 before being bowled out in 34.3 overs.
The third game in Purwakarta saw Indorama CC beat Bogor CC by six wickets. Bogor CC, batting first, managed a total of 181 for the loss of nine wickets in the allotted 35 overs. INCC reached the target in 31.5 overs for the loss of only four wickets.
The Jakarta Cricket Association will organize the Jakarta International Cricket Sixes this weekend at Cibubur. Clubs from Singapore, Malaysia, Bali and Jakarta will take part in the two-day event. -- JP
