JAKARTA: The city police's internal affairs division announced Wednesday that officers with the Central Jakarta Police's drug squad did not comply with standard procedures during a house search in Citayam, Depok.
The decision was made after last week's questioning of seven officers involved in the drug search at Nyi Ilah's house earlier this month. The officers did not have a search warrant and did not notify Nyi about the search.
Nyi, the mother of drug case suspect Boleng, reported that Rp 40 million (about US$4,350) in cash and jewelry went missing during the search.
City police spokesman Sr. Comr. I Ketut Untung Yoga Anna said the incident would be investigated further. --JP
