JAKARTA: Nineteen-year-old Yoppie died Wednesday after jumping off a helipad on the 24th floor of Menara Thamrin, Central Jakarta.
The freshman at Tarumanegara University in West Jakarta went to the helipad area, which was unlocked, at around 12 p.m.
Police suspect suicide.
""We're currently investigating the case. Up to now we have found no indications of murder,"" said First Insp. Aryono, the head of the Tanah Abang Police's homicide unit.
""We've been told Yoppie broke up with his girlfriend two months ago.""
That information was confirmed by Yoppie's brother-in-law, Simon, who came to the morgue at Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital to identify the body.
