Sahid Jaya requests blood for Valentine's

JAKARTA: Hotel Sahid Jaya Jakarta has hit on a new way to celebrate Valentine's Day.
In cooperation with the Lions Club Jakarta, Tarumanegara University, the Indonesia Red Cross, pharmaceutical firm Tempo Group, publisher Investor Group and Ibu&Anak magazine, the hotel has organized a blood drive, scheduled for Wednesday.
The hotel management has invited people to donate blood for transfusion into dengue patients. There is an outbreak of dengue fever in the city every rainy season.
Valentine's Day falls on Feb. 14.
Donors are asked to go to the Candi Sewu function hall on the hotel's second floor from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
