INDONESIA: The prime minister of Jordan, Fouad Siniora, will visit Jakarta on Thursday and Friday to hold talks with President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono to discuss enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries and on the current situation in the Middle East.

""He will meet the President on Friday. Besides bilateral and regional talks, Jordan also wants to express its gratitude for Indonesia's role in restoring peace in the country and the region,"" Foreign Ministry director for the Middle East Chandra Salim said.

Indonesia sent approximately 1,000 troops as part of a UN force to Lebanon in the aftermath of Israeli attacks last year.

Chandra said both leaders would also discuss ways to help solve the Israel-Palestine conflict.--JP
