RI grants award to RP general

MANILA: The Indonesian government has awarded Gen. Generoso S. Senga, former chief of staff of the Philippine Armed Forces, with the Yudha Dharma Utama Award for his contribution to promoting and strengthening relations and cooperation between the two countries.

The Indonesian embassy in Manila said the award was presented by Indonesian military chief Air Chief Marshall Djoko Suyanto during a ceremony at the Indonesian embassy in Manila earlier this month.

The ceremony was also attended by the Philippines Armed Forces chief of staff Gen. Hermogenes C. Esperon Jr., the embassy said in a statement. --JP
