JAKARTA: Prosecutors on Monday recommended a 12-year jail term for Agung Setyadi for allegedly smuggling a laptop to terror convict Imam Samudra at the Kerobokan prison in Bali, detik.com news portal reported.

The laptop, prosecutors said, was sent to a prison warden in May 2005 under the name of Agung's daughter. It enabled Imam, who is on death row for his role in the 2002 Bali bombings, to interact with the outside world and allegedly mastermind later bomb attacks.

Agung, prosecutors said, received money from Imam at an account at the BNI branch in Karangayu, Semarang, Central Java. --JP
