No rain on Bogor anniversary parade

Residents of 40 districts in Bogor municipality attended a parade Sunday to celebrate the town's 525th anniversary on June 3.

Hundreds of people performed a variety of traditional Sudanese dances and local customs including a wedding parade which exists still in Ciawi district.

During the parade agricultural products were displayed including rice crops, vegetables and fruits. (see photo).

A group of Papuan students currently studying in Bogur, home to Indonesia's only Agriculture Institute, took part in the festivities by performing the Cendrawasih dance.

The event was held in the municipal administration hall in Jl. Tegar Beriman, Cibinong.
