JAKARTA: Attorney General Hendarman Supandji defended Friday the seizure of a house in a graft case involving former head of the State Logistics Agency (Bulog) Widjanarko Puspoyo -- although the house belonged to Widjanarko's son.

""Everything that causes financial loss to the state must be confiscated as evidence,"" he said after the celebration of the Army Military Police's 61st anniversary.

He said the period of the alleged graft was between 2002 and 2005 and the house was purchased in 2004.

""We target to finish the dossier before July 22,"" Hendarman said.

""The case will soon be filed to the court, but the indictment letter is still waiting to be proofed."" --JP
