ITB hosts chemistry anniversary

Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) will commemorate the 60th anniversary of higher education in chemistry through a series of events from July 9 through July 14.

The event, held by ITB's chemistry school, will be attended by heads of chemistry schools from other universities, lecturers, scientists, students, government officials and professionals.

The events include a seminar, workshop and Chemistry for Kids, in which a series of experiments will be carried out to promote chemistry to elementary and junior high school students.

ITB will also host an industrial and educational promotion event. This is intended for the chemical industry, bookstores and education agencies, to promote their product to students, alumni, teachers and academics.

The event will run from July 12 through 14. -- JP
