Bedugul farmers compete in competition

TABANAN: Farmers from Candi Kuning village in the resort area of Bedugul are participating in the National Agriculture Contest being held in Surabaya, East Java, from July 29 until Aug. 7.
The farmers, members of the Hikmah Foundation, will display Balinese orchids, strawberry plants, chili plants and a large variety of fruit and vegetables.
Candi Kuning is renowned for its fresh produce. Most farmers grow sub-tropical vegetables such as lettuce, asparagus and broccoli.
The contest is bringing together farmers from across Indonesia wishing to display their innovative products. -- JP
