Klungkung promotes HIV/AIDS awareness

KLUNGKUNG: Klungkung has launched a special awareness program to help prevent HIV/AIDS in the regency.

The local administration has issued a decree No 3, 2007 concerning various preventive programs and campaigns to arouse people's awareness on the danger caused by HIV/AIDS. The programs and campaigns target children, teenagers and adults.

Currently, there are 14 people with HIV/AIDS and nine drug addicts with high HIV/AIDS risks in the regency.

The regency is now preparing more health facilities including medical supplies and skilled medical persons to help treat people with HIV/AIDS. -- JP
