Jakarta beat Medco in U-15s

JAKARTA: Hosts Jakarta beat East Java in a 6-5 win in penalty shootouts to grab the Medco Under-15 Tournament soccer title at Lebak Bulus Stadium in South Jakarta.

The winners were presented with a revolving trophy and the Medco trophy by State Minister for Youth and Sports Affairs Adhyaksa Dault, and walked away with Rp 10 million in prize money.

Medco Group chief executive Arifin Panigoro said that the tournament was meant to bring new talent to the fore for the national soccer team. --JP
