LaSalle College International-Jakarta, The International Design College, recently presented A Decade 2 Dedicate to celebrate the college's 10th anniversary and the annual graduation.

The event was held end of July at the Wisma Nusantara, Jl. MH. Thamrin, Central Jakarta.

A Decade 2 Dedicate opened at 3 p.m. with a design exhibition, followed by a graduation ceremony at 4 p.m. A theatrical fashion show started at 7.30 p.m. as the highlight of the event.

A Decade 2 Dedicate gave the attendees a sci-fi journey that started from the entrance up to the theater. The journey began in the Industrial Zone where the space was filled by various booths dedicated to LaSalle College associates that had participated and supported the event.

After passing through the Industrial Zone, attendees continued toward the Graphic Labyrinth, where Maze Unveiled Graphixibition presented art works made by students from the computer graphics, photography, 3D and multimedia departments.

The Labyrinth took visitors to the world of outer space through a simple and artsy ambiance that utilized the setting of a gallery and home theater.

Lounge to Launch was the next step on the journey where guests were able to enjoy Sci-Fi Hybrid Lounge, a two-zone sitting lounge created by the interior design department for attendees to experience the atmosphere of pop art and postmodern schemes.

Proceeding further inside the Lounge to Launch area, guests were able to see fashion business department work in a fantasy setting that showed the apparel of fashion design students and other merchandise under the theme Crystalline Colony, which evoked a clear, simple ambience with a silver essence.

Visitors could then progress to the embark line, a corridor that acted as a bridge to the final and most important part of the event.

In this area, guests were shown various garments made by fashion design students that were specifically produced for and entered into the Hempel Award 2006.

The embark line was a preview of what was to come -- the highlight of the evening, the theater show.

This final act consisted of a fashion play that integrated dance and art performances into one splendid live act where there was a constant battle between good and evil to find the ""Azurlight"" in order to win ultimate power.

The show was produced through collaboration between fashion business and fashion design students as part of their course for fashion presentation.

The event was organized in cooperation with the Canadian Embassy, Chevrolet, Simpati-Telkomsel, SEIBU, Titans Shoe, CosmoGirl, ADOI, O Channel, Trax FM and many more.
