I'm exhibiting my paintings at Bentara Budaya for the Brazilian Embassy for the Brazilian Festival and it has been a great event so far.
I was very happy to read a letter talking about this event from Demitrius, someone who lives in Brazil and yet heard about our event.
And at the same time it is a bit sad that people in Brazil still don't have much information about Indonesia.
I've been living in Jakarta for almost five years and members of my family and I are having an amazing experience. We surely miss home while we are living in other country.
At Brazilian Week, I have seen a lot of Indonesian people interested in our culture and especially, surprisingly, young people, students, who came to see our festival, talk to me and look at my paintings and ask questions about Brazil. They are really interested in learning something new about our country.
It has been a great experience for me and I thank our ambassador and the Indonesians for this great experience.
I hope that other embassies will follow the idea and show some culture from their countries because people from Indonesia are really curious and very open to experience and to learning things from other places around the world.
We Brazilians are also the same in that way. We are mostly young people and want to learn. And it's important that we have more of such events so we can be closer to each other.
I'm looking forward to see other festivals from other countries and I think so to are Indonesians.
