JAKARTA: National flag carrier Garuda Indonesia Airlines (GIA) and state-owned Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) signed an agreement Wednesday to provide a new payment option to travelers reserving flights via the Garuda Call Center.
The Online Payment option allows the customer to pay for his ticket through a BRI automatic teller machine after first making a reservation by calling the center at 0-807-1-807-807 or (021) 2351-9999.
After the reservation is made, a six-digit reservation code is issued along with a 13-digit payment code that the customer keys in to any BRI ATM, with guaranteed real-time payment processing.
The traveler can then exchange his payment slip for an air ticket at any airport GIA ticket sales counter. He may also print out the electronic ticket that the Garuda Call Center will send to his e-mail account after payment has been made. (09)
