JAKARTA: The fate of the troubled Institute of Public Administration (IPDN) will be decided next month, after a team tasked to evaluate the institute's performance meets with President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

""We hope next month there will be a conclusion. There is no more to discuss as everything is already clear,"" IPDN evaluation team head Ryaas Rasyid said as quoted by Antara newswire.

He said the Home Affairs Ministry still wanted the institute, located in Jatinangor, West Java, to continue operating after fundamental reforms are introduced, as requested by the President.

According to Ryaas, the Home minister had requested a change of management, structure and organization of the IPDN, as well as the recruitment of fresh faculty members. --JP
