The 2007 Ubud Writers and Readers Festival closed Sunday, following a week packed with 95 literary events across 35 venues in the normally sleepy Bali hillside village of Ubud, some 45 kilometers the provincial's capital Denpasar.
Writers and readers from Indonesia and around the world came together for the festival.
The annual gathering, now in its fourth year, brought together brilliant thoughts and ideas on every aspects of literary world.
The last five days have seen the small village of Ubud transformed into a global village hosting prominent guests from all over the world.
Heralded as one of the best writers and readers festivals in the world today, ticket sales this year appear to have proven this true, leaping more than 30 per cent over last year.
The event is slated to become one of Bali's biggest and best.
