PT KA provides free Idul Fitri trips

JAKARTA: State railway operator PT Kereta Api on Sunday provided free transportation to 1,300 street beverage vendors traveling to their hometowns for Idul Fitri celebrations.

The travelers, who boarded a 12-coach train, were officially sent off from Senen railway station in Central Jakarta by Transportation Minister Jusman Syafi'i Jamal.

The train was to take the northern route along Central Java and East Java and would stop at the Pasar Turi railway station in Surabaya, East Java.

PT Kereta Api spokesperson Akhmad Sujadi told Antara the company would offer more street beverage vendors free transportation on Tuesday in cooperation with a beverage producer. --JP
