Police services returning to normal

JAKARTA: The city police's one-stop integrated document service will resume normal operations Saturday and the traffic division will return to normal hours Monday.

A receptionist at the traffic division, Sukarni, said Friday the division has been open for half-days since Oct. 15.

""But I don't think many people know this because not many came to renew their (vehicle ownership) certificates. Not a single person showed up some days,"" he said.

Deputy director of the traffic division, Adj. Sr. Comr. Firman Shantyabudi, said earlier the police would not fine people whose driver's licenses expired during the long Idul Fitri holiday. --JP
