USAID program

Thank you for your recent article titled Residents join forces to overcome water crisis, (The Jakarta Post, Oct. 26).

I would like to rectify that the Environmental Services Program (ESP) is not a Yogyakarta-based NGO as reported in your article. ESP is a fifty-eight month program funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

It works with the government, the private sector, NGOs, community groups and other stakeholders to promote better health through improved water resources management and expanded access to clean water and sanitation services in seven provinces: Aceh, North Sumatra, West Sumatra, East Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta, West Java, Jakarta and Banten.
