West Jakarta takes on new arrivals

JAKARTA: The West Jakarta municipality will crack down on the city's newcomers in two operations on Nov. 8 and Nov. 15, West Jakarta Mayor Fadjar Pandjaitan said Friday.
""If the newcomers want to stay in Jakarta, they must complete an administrative requirement first,"" Fadjar said as quoted by the city administration's official Web site BeritaJakarta.
The Nov. 8 operation will be carried around Kalideres and Cengkareng, while the Nov. 15 operation will be conducted in Tambora and Taman Sari areas.
The municipality has so far arrested 425 people in Kebon Jeruk district. --JP
