JAKARTA: State prosecutors and lawyers of Hutomo ""Tommy"" Mandala Putra are set to hold the final mediation meeting over Bulog land swap civil case next week.

""Both parties agree on Tommy reimbursing the state money, but we are still arguing over the exact amount of money Tommy has to pay,"" prosecutor Dachamer Munthe said.

""I hope we can settle this problem (during) next week's meeting.""

He said prosecutors were also discussing with Tommy's lawyers the possibility for Tommy to bring back to the republic funds worth $36 million euros frozen in the Guernsey, UK, branch of BNP Paribas.

The funds were currently frozen by the Guernsey Royal Court.

He said the prosecutors wanted an assurance that Tommy would reimburse state funds.

If next week's mediation meeting fails, the warring parties said they would continue their civil lawsuit trial session. -- JP
