People in Jordan on Friday will mark the second anniversary of terrorist attacks on three hotels in the capital Amman that killed 57 people, including an Indonesian national, Jordan's ambassador in Jakarta said.

Fifty-seven people were killed on Nov. 9, 2005, when terrorists attacked Western-owned hotels with bombs. Indonesian musician Perri Pattisilano was killed in the attacks and two other Indonesians were injured.

""The terrorists sent their bloody message in the darkest of the night ... and Jordanians always stand and never surrender to this kind of extortion, and on the contrary this tragedy has made Jordanians more united,"" Ambassador Mohammad Hassan Dawodieh told The Jakarta Post on Thursday.

Dawodieh said Jordanians will pray to God to seek His blessing.

""In commemoration we pray to God for His blessings to the dead victims, and to give us the fortitude to fight against enemies of Islam who try to alter the basic principles of Islam which calls for peace, cooperation and tolerance,"" Dawodieh said.
