SMS: Fuel prices increase

"Gasoline Smart Card", what will happen if oil prices drop to US$50. The Smart Card Program of Rp 5 trillion would be useless and merely extravagant. It's better for social welfare. TQ MULJADG

Not efficient. Cheating will be in order. Another solution, please. Raised gas prices will trigger price hikes of rice, vegetables and clothing. Vicious circle. It is hard to be SBY or JK.

Clever is different from smart. But who will behave smartly if there is still much desire, lust or egoism and also arrogance. I don't have much hope for the government plans if their soul or personality are ill and perhaps mad. We are in the era of madness. Their brains are full of tricks in order to cover their villainous behavior. First, look for the actor or groups or others who have wanted to crack down our country -- Indonesia.

I think we should just raise it. Why do "you" think you want to make people happy, but in reality "you" create a time bomb for us. "You" must learn to swallow "quinine for malaria", a little bit bitter, but will make you healthy!

Smart card can be more problems for people. And it could be new business for them to make money. Better let us make new electric cars on our own.

That's just a "panic" and ridiculous policy, because the government doesn't want to take "unnecessary political risks" due to general elections next year. Just improve the subsidy target and mechanism, raising the price would be better. Who enjoys the biggest part of the gasoline subsidy anyway? The opportunity cost for the gasoline subsidy is extremely high and that's not fair!

I think the government made a good decision to cut gasoline sales to private car owners in order to make "the rich get on public transportation". But the government has to provide safe and pleasant public transportation.

Open the market to foreign oil companies and let competition sort that out! Monopolistic businesses cannot be run efficiently and are a corruption hot spot.

I think the government's policy to cut the subsidy by using smart cards is feasible, instead of raising fuel prices. If the fuel price increases, many elements in the community will feel it very difficult to fulfill their daily needs. As we know that oil price increases will trigger hikes on the prices of others. It will be better to use smart cards for the people who have private cars.

The government has guaranteed they won't raise the gasoline prices, so they'll do anything to keep their promise. It's all no more than a political joke, they don't have a premeditated plan.

The smart card is a new system and will be introduced in an attempt to reduce subsidized gasoline sales to private cars. Of course, every system has positive and negative impacts. Therefore, the government must prepare everything completely so that in its operation, the system will run smoothly. Other alternatives to decrease gasoline subsidies include to raise its prices periodically so it can reach international market prices.
