DENPASAR: The School of Tourism at Udayana University (Unud) provided its students with a new experience on Feb. 15, when it held class via a video conference.
The Intercultural Communication in Tourism class was held in cooperation with Germany's University of Bremen.
During the special class, Unud Tourism students listened to a lecture conducted by Vera Kuenzer, a professor at Bremen university.
The guest lecturer underlined the importance of intercultural globalization, especially within the context of foreign tourists.
She said tourism students needed to be aware of cross-cultural relations and to inform the public accordingly, so that harmony between foreign tourists and the people of the host country could be maintained. -- JP
