Wimar returns to television talk show

JAKARTA: Wimar Witoelar, who has been dubbed the local renaissance man, will be back on the screen with his talk show Perspektif Wimar starting March 24 on ANTV.

The show, which will be broadcast live daily from Monday to Friday from 6 to 6:30 a.m., will feature guests and cover a broad range of general topics from politics and economy to lifestyle and gossip.

Wimar will also bring celebrity female co-hosts to the show in order to reach a younger audience. Eight co-hosts will appear in the first month, and viewers will pick their three favorites to accompany Wimar regularly.

"I'm very happy to reach the audience again through this program 'Perspektif Wimar'. Together with my co-hosts, I will start your day with the hottest issues," Wimar said in a press release.

"By watching 'Perspektif Wimar', your morning will be more meaningful because you will gain a better perspective on what's happening."

Wimar said this is his third career highlight after being a Bandung Institute of Technology student union leader and a presidential spokesman for Gus Dur. -- JP/Alvin Soedarjo
