President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has claimed his government had secured a US$3.5 billion invesment commitment from Dubai businessmen during his recent visit in the United Arab Emirates city.
Yudhoyono, who visited Dubai from March 18 to March 20, said corporates from Dubai such as Bin Ladin Group, Emaar Properties, Gulf Petroleum, Pacific Interlink, Jumeirah Group and Ras Al Khaimah were willing to invest in Indonesia.
"They express their commitment to investing in our country although they know we still have some problems back home," President Yudhoyono was quoted by Antara as saying. (***)
