Barca bows out in Copa semis

Barcelona failed in the Copa del Rey semifinals after losing 2-3 to host Valencia in the second leg on Thursday.

Barca lost 3-4 on aggregate as both teams shared a 1-1 draw in the first leg where Barca hosted Valencia two weeks ago.

Valencia, coached by under fire manager Ronald Koeman, stunned Barca by taking a 2-0 lead in the first half. Barca pulled one back in the second half with a Thierry Henry goal, but Juan Manuel Mata extended Valencia's lead to 3-1 with his second goal of the match.

Samuel Eto'o then scored a consolation goal for Barcelona.

In the final, Valencia will meet Getafe, which beat Racing Santander 4-2 on aggregate in another semifinal. (***)
