Thai PM visits Indonesia

Recently elected Thai Prime Minister, Samak Sundaravej meets President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono at the Presidential Palace on Wednesday afternoon.

The official state visit to Indonesia is the first for PM Sundaravej, who was elected in January this year.

The prime minister, who is in a series of visits introducing himself and his government's policies to ASEAN Member States, is accompanied by Thai Foreign Minister Nopapadon Pattama and select members of the Thai private sector.

The bilateral meeting will be followed by a state dinner scheduled later this evening, Antara said. (*)
