Islam 'recognizes homosexuality'

Homosexuals and homosexuality are natural and created by God, thus permissible within Islam, a discussion concluded here Thursday.
Moderate Muslim scholars said there were no reasons to reject homosexuals under Islam, and that the condemnation of homosexuals and homosexuality by mainstream ulema and many other Muslims was based on narrow-minded interpretations of Islamic teachings.
Siti Musdah Mulia of the Indonesia Conference of Religions and Peace cited the Koran's al-Hujurat (49:3) that one of the blessings for human beings was that all men and women are equal, regardless of ethnicity, wealth, social positions or even sexual orientation.
"There is no difference between lesbians and nonlesbians. In the eyes of God, people are valued based on their piety," she told the discussion organized by nongovernmental organization Arus Pelangi.
"And talking about piety is God's prerogative to judge," she added.
"The essence of the religion (Islam) is to humanize humans, respect and dignify them."
Musdah said homosexuality was from God and should be considered natural, adding it was not pushed only by passion.
Mata Air magazine managing editor Soffa Ihsan said Islam's acknowledgement of heterogeneity should also include homosexuality.
He said Muslims needed to continue to embrace ijtihad (the process of making a legal decision by independent interpretation of the Koran and the Sunnah) to avoid being stuck in the old paradigm without developing open-minded interpretations.
Another speaker at the discussion, Nurofiah of the Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), said the dominant notion of heterogeneity was a social construction, leading to the banning of homosexuality by the majority.
"Like gender bias or patriarchy, heterogeneity bias is socially constructed. It would be totally different if the ruling group was homosexuals," she said.
Other speakers said the magnificence of Islam was that it could be blended and integrated into local culture.
"In fact, Indonesia's culture has accepted homosexuality. The homosexual group in Bugis-Makassar tradition called Bissu is respected and given a high position in the kingdom.
"Also, we know that in Ponorogo (East Java) there has been acknowledgement of homosexuality," Arus Pelangi head Rido Triawan said.
Condemnation of homosexuality was voiced by two conservative Muslim groups, the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) and Hizbut Thahir Indonesia (HTI).
"It's a sin. We will not consider homosexuals an enemy, but we will make them aware that what they are doing is wrong," MUI deputy chairman Amir Syarifuddin said.
Rokhmat, of the hardline HTI, several times asked homosexual participants in attendance to repent and force themselves to gradually return to the right path.

THE PHILOSOPHY OF PANSEXUALITY
The Theory of Pansexuality (including all modes of sexuality existing in humans prevailing permanently or occasionally), originated from the observation of the natural world and is a term internationally recognised by sexologists. The theory aims to challenge existing prejudices which can cause discrimination, marginalisation and serious disorders within society. People may be born with or may develop specific sexual tendencies which, if not socially damaging, should not be repressed.
Our sexuality, like our feelings, can be directed in varying amounts and manners towards people of all sexual persuasions, ages, appearances, towards animals, inanimate objects or ourselves; even towards the living, dead and the imaginary. Where sex is considered sinful it may create internal conflict and sexual phobias. As all tendencies emerge from nature we cannot therefore avoid being a part of it. If a sexual tendency manifests itself then surely the resulting urges and responses are a natural and subconscious process. History and anthropology inform us there are many ways to exist sexually and the rich spontaneous choices emerging from such pansexuality could eradicate many neuroses. Pointless guilt complexes or shame responses would disappear with an increased open mindedness. Furthermore, eradicating the anxiety of having committed a sin would make life more bearable and comfortable.
In conclusion, the theory of pansexuality assists us in comprehending the many sexual possibilities existing within us, to accept and live with them whilst employing intelligence, responsibility and a natural joy.

• Muslim Homosexuals, you have made your desires as your God. You have sensed Homosexual feelings in yourself. You have approved for yourself as normal. You have justified this act by finding personalities in Muslim History or by The Creator creating nearly 500 species who practise Homosexuality. Your demand is that if Creator has made such species in animal then in among humans the fairness exists by God & should be accepted by all Muslims.
• For this, it needs to be clear that along Homosexual existing in animals there are more Heterosexuals . But in animals, Heterosexual is not confined between male & female mate only, indeed is also found being practise between brother & sister, Son & mother , father & daughter animal species as well.
• Hence according to Homosexual if two similar gender desire why should the people be against it & why the scripture from the Devine should condemn it since He Himself has created homosexuals in Animal species related to “ strong desire”.
• In human such strong desires also exist in some teenage brothers & sisters, who behind many parents back do it for pleasure secretly & along with it some develope strong affection for each other & find themselves more secure cause they are their Siblings. But are afraid to disclose it & lay fear in society, family & relatives.Read it for yourself, type "sex between brother & sister" .(you will also find such on youtube)
• So why should the Siblings’ Sexuality be discriminated . The justification made by the homosexual is quite similar to the justification made by the Siblings’ that is “ We strongly desire each other & this practise is perfectly normal since it exists in animals too.
• It will not surprise me to see in the next decade the Siblings’ Sexual relation ship becoming openly outspoken for demanding rights as soon as they reach 18.
• Yes it happened in & before the 6th century for years in the Arab world, so why should we be astonished to see free sex happening between father & daughters, sons & mothers in the next coming decades, after all it is a “strong desire” & “ found in animals”
• Before 7th century, Arabs were in the Dark ages of Sexual relationship. Therefore a list of people were mentioned by Allah to the people of the 7 century, forbidding them to have sexual realationship (“ under marriage contract”) with them. .See Chapter 4 Sur Nisa: verse 22, 23.
• Muslim were ordained by Allah in Medina in the verse revealed to the 7th centuary muslim, to discipline his/her sexual feeling. . Whether be homosexual feeling or Hetrosexual. See chapter 4 Sura Nisa : verse26, 27, 28.
• Even He Allah stressed it further. See Chapter 33 Ahzab; verse 35.
• This was all done to secure & help survive “A Nucleus Family System”, in which a father, a mother ,a sister, a brother, each could do their respective responsibilities. Therefore, all kind of sex outside marriage, was forbidden.
• Hence for the survival of “A Nucleus Family system” among humanbeings punishment were imposed on adultery in Hetrosexuals . See Chapter 24 Noor: verse 2.
• Also in Medina, some where in the 7th centuary, for some Homosexuals the verse was revealed to Prophet Mohd ( pbuh) to punish them so that the this” Lust “ discourage to be spread in society. See Chapter 4 Nisa : verse 15, 16 ,17,18.
• The very sad point is that many Muslim Homosexuals find no form of amendment to make.
• 2nd ly the whole Muslim should know that all kinds of Verbal Harasment & Physical Harasment should not be done even to Homosexuals.
• 3rdly , Muslim countries should not kill Homosexual or Adulterers since in both the verses the command is not to Lash to death or punish to death . Hence Killing in both cases is condemded.
• As Muslims, our cure is not alcohol nor drugs. As said in 5 times prayers after each Ruku “ Sami allahu liman hamidah “ ( Allah hears those who praise Him).So please after your 5 times pray repeatedly recite Chapter 94 Sura Alam Nashrah ( this was the sura that was revealed to Prophet Mohd at the time of Mekkah when the Quresh were giving him a difficult time & he was in tears & heart broken & Allah bucked him up to hold courage & hope).
• Repeated recitation of Quranic Verse do amazing help somewhere Psycologically , sometimes in circumstances & some times in unexpected happenings
• We Muslim have only the Book & through it ask the Divine’s Help. I know this. This is the way without much pain I reverted . Hope you will too.
What is a Nucleus Family?

Some also use the term to describe single-parent households and families in which the parents are a cohabiting, unmarried couple.
But what about Passion for sex ?

It is not because homosexuality is a natural thing that Kain & Abel would be per definition gay.And even if they were gay,they might not be atracted to one another!!so think twice before you post stupid words into a very difficult discussion.It's people like you who make that the end of the world is near.

I personally don't see what is so courageous about not recognizing yourself being gay.and to pretend you are something else and probably get married and be unhappy for the rest of your miserable life.with a unhappy wife and a bunch of unhappy kids because daddy is frustrated. and all this in the name of Allah the almighty from who you think he created you!!Do you really think that Allah would make such a big mistake? Not!!!
But I also think that Allah also would not create people who kill and stone and mutilate other people because they don't think the same.And certainly not if all this is done in his name!!If there would be a god he would undo his creation by seeing what he did and what people do in his Almighty Name.

i dnt find ne reason why homosexuality is not accepted in islam.
its allah who creates any individual, and no one on this entire earth has rights to raise fingers at allahs creation....
its allah the almighty who made us all
gave us hands nd legs

a heart to love

i m personally reserching on this issue of homosexuality,,,met a lot of scholars nd visited a lot of countries.
i personally feel that
wid the incident deciphered in quran
abt the reign of lut nd its people
they had started practising pansexuality(with either a man or women or animals)
people endulging into such acts, in simple words are known as sinners.
there was no humanity left nd people were turning animals as far as sex was concerned. they knew no difference between sisters,brothers,mothers nd fathers.this made allah angry .and allah decided to doom nd destroy the entire city
with this act allah never said that an individual cant love his/her own kind.(love in terms of pure sense)
love can be next to salaat if its true nd pure
so i feel theres nothing wrong in a homosexual relationship if it remains monogamous unlike the normal straight relations
rest i would leave it to allah and his decision for qayamat

Candidly I'm confused, but I kept and open minded and I condemned extremist stoning gay people to death. I read different books on Islam at the moment and this spring I will be taking an Arabic class. Just confused. I might like what gay people do here in America, but this is a civil right issue. I find it ironic when Muslim brother preach against things that they consider violate Islam and then do it they selves and try to keep an image and what Ghazily calls that are hypocrites. I believe we are all hypocrites. Allah is most merciful AlRahman. He says to look in nature and some animals commit acts of homosexuality...etc

There is nothing courageous about hiding and trying to pretend not to be homosexual if you are what you are.
What kind of religion is this Islam of yours that it forbids you to be the human you are!!
What kind of God would be so bad that he wanted to make his own creation unhappy for the little while they are on earth.
There is just one simple conclusion ,there is no god there is no heaven.
there is just life and if I where you I would start living my life before it is over.
Heaven and all the promises you get there are just written in a book written by people so think about it and start living.
