Of course it is necessary. The house of Representatives has to stop the spread of online and any other forms of pornography.

I support the effort to protect our children from online pornography. Yet I don't know how the online porn ban will work. It's impossible to monitor all activities in the Internet. Therefore, it just absurd and a violation of our privacy.
The law also criminalizes users. Will the government lock kids up in prison because they access such sites? And how do we tell victims from users? This is not a solution.
Software provided by the government to block online pornography is really, the best and only way.

What a shame* There are plenty of other more important things to be concerned about than banning porn sites. Actually, the House of Representatives should be concerned about their own morality since many local porn sites contain their own porn videos* Shame on them*

Too late too little. Online pornography should have been banned a long time ago. The government must impose heavy punishments on operators, who make money at the cost of Indonesian youth.

To ban porn on the web is like trying to stop the floods with one bucket. An impossible task* I give the bill a life of six months, no more.

I believe the online pornography ban is the "most wanted" policy. There are so many problems in connection with online pornography. Teens now can easily surf to porn sites and as a result they frequently behave extremely badly. Also, it invites techno-crimes like modification of photographs. It also raises the rate of rape, violence and free sex.

It's necessary to ban online pornography because there so many are harmed by it. The success of any country is determined by the morality of its people. If the people in this country have high moral standards, we will have a nation with high integrity.

It is another example of the power holders' inability to set priorities here. There are so many more pressing issues than playing this kind of moral police.

I believe it's a waste of time. Compared to other issues related to prosperity of the people, online porn does not cause problems. There are so many other things the government could focus on.

Who benefits? Police* Did the House of Representatives asks daily users, who know porn pictures appear even when people don't search for them? Does the House have nothing better to do? Don't get me wrong though -- I don't agree with pornography either.

Banning online porn?
actually, it is government's intention to decrease the people's opportunity to search, see, or download the such website. every open minded people will say " oh,,great, government are care, government wants to have good society,,".
however we still question this kind of government plan
1. what does the ban mean??is it regulate those porn sites entire Indonesia and from overseas,,so that just certain people that are able to reach them. or government will delete all porn sites that exist in indonesian network?
2. what is the clear purpose for this regulation? does it want to escape children or some other side who are not allowed to open that,,,,,
the parents must pay attention to their children and give a proper sex education for them, tell the dangerous of it. it is a good way to support the regulation. porn is a thing that can destroy the children's morality,,,so government wants them to have a good future.
