House of Representatives Speaker Agung Laksono warned Friday the film
Fitna produced by a Dutch politician could spark new religious conflict.
Fitna, which has been screened on the Internet, cites verses from the Koran and displays images from the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.
Fitna has been called a misleading critique of Islam and the Koran.
Agung said the government should closely monitor the film as people could easily download and distribute it.
He also asked the Dutch government and the film's producer to withdraw
Fitna from the public.
The Netherlands has said state prosecutors could investigate whether
Fitna incited violence when the film was available to the public. (***)
