Indonesia stays alive in its Davis Cup tie agaisnt China as its men's double pair of Christopher Rungkat and Ketut Nesa Arta beat Chinese duo of Mao Xin Gong and Zhe Li.
In a must-win match on Saturday, Christopher/Nesa chalked up a hard-fought 6-7(1), 6-4, 2-6, 6-3, 9-7 win over Mao/Zhe.
Indonesia now trails China 2-1 after losing its first two matches on Friday.
"I am very proud of my players. They took a 5-2 lead in the last set, then lost their focus that allowed their opponents to level at 5-5. However, their high fighting spirit finally led them to win
the match," non-playing captain Suwandi said.
Suwandi hoped the victory momentum would continue Sunday, the last day of Davis Cup Asia-Oceania Group II playoff. (***)
