The event is supported by many parties including the Culture and Tourism Ministry.
The registration has been opened since March 2008 with the applicants now reaching 100. The registration form is available at www.misstourismindonesia.com, Travel Club and in-flight Sriwijaya magazines.
Through a selection, the participants will be narrowed to 40
finalists, who will be quarantined starting from June 28 through July 5 at the
Batavia Hotel,
“The grand final will be held on July 5,” El John Foundation chairman Johnnie Sugiarto was quoted by Antara as saying.
The winner of Miss Tourism Indonesia 2008 must sign a one-year contract and agree to participate in the Miss Tourism International contest. (***)
