The House of Representatives disallowed Thursday the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to examine the offices of seven lawmakers arrested on corruption charges.
Led by the House Speaker Agung Laksono, a meeting among the House leaders, the Honorary Council, and the faction leaders did not permit the KPK to check the lawmakers' offices.
The House Honorary Council chairman Irsyad Sudiro ensured there would be no attempt from his institution to destroy evidences in the offices.
The KPK is scheduled to examine the rooms of seven legislators on Friday. (***)
