Indonesian journalist Desi Anwar on Friday requested protection from President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono after Timor Leste President Ramos Horta accused her of assisting his country's rebels to assassinate him.
"I also beg President Yudhoyono to ask for clarification from President Horta about his baseless allegation. I also hope my good name and that of my TV station, Metro TV, will be restored,"
she said after filing a complaint against Horta in the Press Council.
Desi has repeatedly denied Horta's allegation.
"The allegation is a lie, irresponsible. It hurts me a lot," she said, as she was escorted by Metro TV high-ranking officials Djafar Assegaf, Elman Saragih and Saur Hutabarat. (***)

President should do something. It was already long time that we never gain our integrity in front of foreign leaders. We always bow to their demands.

Dear Desi,
Just calm down and find the best ways to solve the problem. Remember that what you're facing is not as sufferable as what the journos had during the old time when Indonesia was still under the Ducth or Japanese collonization. The journos put their life at risk to help this nation get their independence.
Every job has its risk; you're having one.
So, build a very good and ellegant strategy to face the problem. Show the world that you're an experienced and incredible journo. Don't forget to ask for your Gods' assistance. I believe he's happy to land His hand as long as you didn't neglect Him before.
Good luck, Desi..
