Michael Ballack on Saturday scored a controversial late penalty against English Premier League leader Manchester United to keep Chelsea title hopes alive.
Ballack penalty on the 85th minute gave the Blues a 2-1 win over the Red Devils. He also scored the opener in the first half but was canceled out by Wayne Rooney in the second half.
Chelsea is still second but level on 81 points with Manchester United which leads the table only on a superior goal difference.
Manchester United will meet stubborn West Ham at Old Trafford next Saturday, while Chelsea will visit Newcastle United, which has an impressive form recently, two days later.
On the May 11 last match, Chelsea will host Bolton, which is battling against relegation, while Manchester United will travel to Wigan. (***)
