Stop all forms of logging, legal and illegal, of the primary forests of Indonesia in Aceh and West Papua. Their biodiversity conceals the biomolecules and bioprocesses of tomorrow's industry.
The services they provide to the country, like water catchment, flood containment and protection of soils from erosion are invaluable. Logging should be sustainable and concern wood plantations only. Logging of primary forests is stupidity, with very serious consequences.

Sect ban and violence -- April 30, p. 1
What the government of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has to do is to urge the Ahmadiyah group to immediately declare itself to be a new religion and stop claiming to be a sect within Islam. It has been proven that Ahmadiyah is heretical, and thus tarnishing the pure teaching of Islam.
The government must act immediately to save the group and prevent further violence from certain Muslim groups against the ignorant or stubborn attitude of the group, by persuading the group to stop claiming to be Muslims. If they continue to adopt and practice the principles, they are in violation and contradiction to the real principles and values of Islam.
I recommend the government take punitive action against Ahmadiyah not just for deviating from mainstream Islamic teachings, but also for tarnishing and damaging Islamic teachings and values.
The government should formally ban the group. The government's ban was not in violation (let alone as serious a violation as mentioned in the Post) of the Constitution. The government does not violate the constitution's article on freedom of religious beliefs.
Believe me, there will be no impeachment against President SBY.
So, please, if you want to save this nation from destruction and disintegration, please ban the Ahmadiyah congregation now, once and for all.
Impose the regulation strictly. Punish the attackers, who just reacted against contemptuous actions by the Ahmadiyah group. And also punish the group if it continues to be stubborn and ignorant. If you do it sincerely for the sake of the true religion, Allah will protect you and no one could topple you. Thank you for posting my comment.

How can the national police and the attorney general be members of the committee recommending to ban a sect? Can the police and the attorney general go against the constitution of the country which guarantees religious freedom to all?

It is absurd that the government is not able or willing to anticipate and prevent violence against fellow citizens who interpret and practice a religion a bit differently. It is intolerable that violence in the name of "the" religion is tolerated.
Groups claiming to adhere to the "true" religion are nothing less than gangs of organized criminals destroying other people's property, wounding fellow citizens and even inciting murder. It ought to be outlawed and prosecuted. "Lord Government, keep your fingers out of religion and belief, it's none of your constitutional business."

Ahmadiyah mosque burned -- April 29, p. 1
Some people who burned the mosque of Ahmadiyah wanted to protect their belief from Ahmadiyah's belief. But, they did anarchy. We can solve every problem we face without violence. Please think twice. The government should solve this problem immediately.

It is with regret that an intelligent a nation as Indonesia falls in the trap of such people who want to destroy the basis of the Indonesian constitution. I wonder which right was given to them to burn Ahmadiyah's mosque and to declare them as non-muslims.
I wonder what calamities will fall on this nation when the anger of Allah falls upon them. My dear Indonesians, don't you see the anger of Allah when he sends all the volcanoes and tsunami to your country.
You should read a lot of Istighfar and seek the mercy of Allah. No one has the right to tell any person if he is a Muslim or a non-Muslim. Only Allah knows what is in the heart of a person. Therefore, my dear Indonesians don't play the role of Allah.
