JAKARTA: Members of Malaysia's graft body visited the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) office Tuesday for a comparative study of the fight against graft.
Badan Pencegah Rasuah (BPR) chief Dato Haji Zakaria said the delegation came to the KPK to share experiences and knowledge about independent commissions against corruption.
"Although we are legally independent from our government, we still rely on other institutions for our human resources and we have a limited budget from the government," he said at a meeting with KPK commissioners.
"We want to learn from the KPK how to be more accountable to the public."
Dato said the BPR was planning to visit other anticorruption institutions in the region for more comparative studies. -- JP
