Mike to keep pop in new album

JAKARTA: Indonesian Idol star, Mike Idol, says he is now working on his second solo album, which will maintain the element of pop in it.

"We're still working on the concept, and I think we will still be playing around with pop," Mike told Antara.

Born Michael Prabawa Mohede in 1983, Mike released his first self-titled album, Mike, in 2007. His first compilation album with Idol finalists entitled Seri Cinta (The Series of Love) was released in 2005, after winning the Indonesian Idol II singing competition.

Mike will perform in a concert entitled "Magenta Moviechestra" by composer Andi Rianto at the Jakarta Convention Center Hall on May 14. He will duet with Jaclyn Victor, the winner of the first Malaysian Idol competition.

Mike will belt out two songs, "Emosi Jiwa" (Soul's Emotion) and "Sepenuh Hati" (Whole-hearted), in duets with Jaclyn Victor. -- JP
