YOGYAKARTA: A team of students from Gadjah Mada University (UGM) has won first place in a design competition that involved 24 teams from universities and other tertiary institutes across Java.

Teams from the University of Indonesia (UI) and Ahmad Dahlan University (UAD) came in second and third, respectively.

The Product Design and Development Competition (PDDC) took place at Ambarukmo Plaza in Yogyakarta.

The PDDC is aimed at giving students chance to explore their product design while contributing to developing this country's industrial sector. - JP
