Neighboring countries Malaysia and Timor Leste have the most undergraduate students studying at Udayana University, university rector I Made Bakta said Friday.
"Malaysian students usually choose medicine, while those from Timor Leste major in agriculture and animal husbandry," he said.
"Udayana University has cooperated with both countries to formulate mutual rights and obligations. Both countries recognize degrees issued by the university."
Bakta said Malaysia would send 40 medical students in the next academic year and there would be 20 Timor Leste students at the agriculture and animal husbandry faculty.
The university also has foreign students, although in a much smaller numbers, from other countries including India, Japan and the United States.
