The German club Bayern Munich will field its young players in its Wednesday's match against the Indonesian national team, coach Ottmar Hitzfield said Tuesday.
"We will field our young players although we are yet to know the Indonesian team's strength," Hitzfield said.
"The trip exhausted my players, but the match will be very interesting. The score could be 3-3 or 4-4."
The team arrived at the Halim Perdanakusuma Airport at 7:30 a.m receiving a warm welcome from fans.
"We are very pleased with Indonesia's hospitality and the fact that there are many fans here," said executive director Uli Hoenes.
"This is Bayern Munich's first visit to Indonesia. We are happy to face the Indonesian national team on Wednesday."
The club brings veteran goalkeeper Oliver Kahn as well as Mark van Bommel, Daniel van Buyten, Jose Robertoda Silva Junior, Andreas Ottl, Jan Sclaudraff and Jose Ernesto Sosa.
Other stars, including Germans Lukas Podolski, Miroslav Klose, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Philipp Lahm, Italian Luca Toni and Frenchman Franck Ribery, are not in the team because they have to prepare with their respective national teams for the Euro Cup 2008, to be held in Austria and Switzerland in June.
Brazilian Lucio and Argentinean Martin Demichelis are working with their own national teams for the World Cup 2010 qualifying rounds.
Indonesian national team coach Benny Dollo said the host team will give its best performance against the German Bundesliga champions.
"This will be an interesting match and we will not waste such an opportunity," he said.
"Bayern is a great team, we will give it our best."
Benny also said the match was not only for the national team, but also for the all soccer clubs in Indonesia.
The German club will then travel to China and Japan, ending its Asian tour in India. (****)
