Coastal construction project needs Rp 90t

TANGERANG: The Tangerang regency administration hopes to commence expanding its coastal areas in 2009.

"The project, which is estimated to cost Rp 90 trillion (US$9.6 million), is fully funded by investors," Didin Samsudin, head of the spatial planning agency at Tangerang regency, said Monday, as quoted by Tempointeraktif.com.

Didin said the administration had received proposals from an investor interested in developing the project, although he did not disclose the investor's name.

The administration initially proposed the project in 2006 and continued with planning after issuing bylaws on the development project and on spatial planning changes. -- JP
