Home Minister Mardiyanto, Justice and Human Rights Minister Andi Mattalata and Attorney General Hendarman Supandji announced their latest wealth reports at the Corruption Eradication Commission here Tuesday.
Mardiyanto reported his assets were valued at about Rp 10.3 billion (US$1.1 million) and US$50,000 on Nov. 12 last year, three months after he entered the Cabinet of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.
His report was not made public until this week.
In an earlier wealth report the home minister submitted while serving as the Central Java governor in June 2006, his wealth amounted to around Rp 7.26 billion.
Mardiyanto, who replaced M. Ma'aruf as home minister due to the latter's health, saw his property assets increase from Rp 2.77 billion to Rp 4.33 billion in 17 months.
"The increase was a result of the increase in the official taxable value of my property. I didn't buy more land," said Mardiyanto, whose savings increased from Rp 3 billion to Rp 4.7 billion during the same period.
Andi Mattalata reported total wealth worth around Rp 7.41 billion and US$92,000 a month after his appointment in May 2007.
His assets included Rp 2.92 billion in savings and Rp 3.34 billion in the form of land and buildings.
The justice and human rights minister had declared total assets worth about Rp 6.67 billion during his term as a legislator for the Golkar Party in October 2006.
Around Rp 730 million in assets has been added to his wealth in eight months as a result of the purchase of a block of land worth Rp 125 million and an increase in savings of around Rp 600 million and US$1,200.
Attorney General Hendarman Supandji announced some Rp 3.47 billion in total assets in July 2007, two months after resuming his position.
The last wealth report he submitted was made in May 2001, while he was serving as the chief of the finance bureau at the Attorney General's Office. His total assets at that time were worth Rp 2.3 billion.
His wealth report showed in the past six years he has added 10 blocks of land worth a total of around Rp 1 billion.
"Most of the properties, which are in Subang, West Java, were bought by my wife," he said.
His wife is director of Harapan Kita Hospital in Jakarta.
All state officials are obliged under the 1999 law on clean government to make their wealth reports public before and after serving their terms. (dre)
