Indonesian government officials have issued a decree ordering members of a Muslim sect to return to mainstream Islam or face possible imprisonment.
The document "warns and orders all Ahmadiyah followers to stop their activities" or face up to five years in prison.
The document was signed Monday by two Cabinet ministers and the attorney general.
Indonesia's constitution guarantees freedom of religion, but many people in the predominantly Muslim nation consider Ahmadiyah's failure to recognize Muhammad as the only prophet offensive.
The decree falls short of an outright ban being called for by fundamentalists. (*)

If ahmadiyah is the true islam like many say here, then why the so-call moderate muslims(sunni)and the government are also condemning them? Does that mean sunni is not the real islam? Btw sunni muslims are fighting the shia muslims too. If you would like to know the answer please go to:

I strongly condemn this cruel act of Indonesian Government against Ahmadi Muslims. Islam is a peaceful religion and the true Islam is currently practiced by only Ahmadi Muslims all over the world, who have very clear motto:
"LOVE FOR ALL, HATRED FOR NONE"

It's a shame to see all these violence and protest invoking in the name of Islam. When I believe that Islam doesn't condone these kind of violence. We are a secular country, and the government should have stated that clearly instead of condemning them.

It's interesting how the government can act against Ahmadiyah and yet seem to have trouble condemning FPI.
It would be like condemning the Baptists in America for their beliefs and letting the KKK run wild.

"Every Orthodoxy Starts as Heresy"
Interesting quote that one. If the other Muslims want to 'defeat' Ahmadiyyat then the way to do this is to show their faith, leadership, spirituality, morality, integrity, and respect for the world is greater than the Ahmadis.
Its quite clear to see which is the group with leadership and itegrity here and which is the group that is lacking that.

I just can't bealive that what is happening in islamic country's like Indoneshia. WHEN I read this news that many Ahmadiyya Community people's property and Mosque & home were burnt. That is shamless. Muslim people is killing their brothers which is unacceptable Because The HOLY PROPHAT teaching is not like the Indoneshian doing.
