Forum: Govt calls it a day for Ahmadiyah

Mon, 06/16/2008 10:02 AM  |  Reader's Forum

This day shall be remembered as the death of a country that was once known for tolerance, fairness and peace. The biggest lesson of history is that: Man has never learned lessons from history.

Most so-called ulemas of today who promote nothing but hatred have already caused enough pain in the world. Today they burned their own house Indonesia. They refused to learn lessons from their creed in Pakistan and elsewhere.

Poor Indonesia! You have destroyed your peace and invited the wrath of Allah by attacking His domain. The Ahmadiyah community has never reacted by taking the law into its hand; they beg protection from Allah.

Over 100 years of history is enough proof of Allah's blessings on the most peaceful Muslim community, Ahmadiyah, in Islam.

I am an Ahmadi. Every Muslim knows there are five pillars to Islam: kalima, sholat (prayer), fastings, haj and zakat.

And all Ahmadis follow it and believe in the Khatammannaibiyyen. Besides, the promised messiah Hazrat Mirza Golam Ahmad has written in his several books of Khatammannabiyyen and our beliefs regarding this can be found at www.alislam.org.

Readers or general Muslims should know the truth about us, not be guided by the clerics or so-called ulema who are defaming Islam by their anarchism. What do they want? They want a country like Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Truth is always truth and everywhere it is true: Religion is not a state concern; it belongs to men, not state. Religion is a faith and it should prevail or defend neither by anarchy nor by oppression.

Islam in its first stage prevailed by argument. Ahmadis are true followers of Muhammad and will follow until death comes to us.

Your climate change, not ours -- June 3, p. 6

Does the current energy crisis have an answer? I hope that the forests, the global climate as well as the people will not experience serious impact.
